Dripping ink on the surface of the wet resin lets it sink in and make shapes a lot like mushrooms. Sometimes it even makes smoke rings. Sometimes it just sits on the surface and doesn't go anywhere. I know that the inks I have are cheap and low quality but they were the cheapest ones I could get while I was still learning. When I need more, I will definitely get better ones.
