I have a planet in my head

Venora Corensa = Beloved Home of the Coridae
Veno = Home (planet)
Kora = Multiple Coridae species
Raca = House/Nest
Vecor = Shorter version

I have started doing an encyclopedia of species and I will try to do each one on their own. There's a lot of data in my head about these and I know what they look like but I am unable to show anyone by drawing. I try to describe them as best I can and hope people end up with a similar image. I have done scribbles of some, and anatomical scribbles of others. At least two are borrowed but I can direct people to the source on youtube. This post is about the planet and a little about biology.

Ok, so the planet is a little larger than Earth. It looks similar to Earth but with only two main continents at the poles and a giant ocean. There's a line of volcanic islands and underwater mountains around the equator. Land is made in the middle as magma wells up between the continents and builds into mountains at it gets pushed towards the poles. Each continent has a different mix of minerals. One has a lot of titanium, the other has a lot of iron. Eruptions and quakes are rare since they have technology which stabilised their planet's crust.

On Earth, life formed and developed once. On Vecor it happened twice. Each time it produced animals which followed a similar path to life here. There's fish, there's bugs, reptiles, avians, monotremes, mammals. The life on the titanium based continent breathes nitrogen while the life on the iron based continent breathes oxygen. Almost all animals breathe nitrogen and live only on the titanium continent. Seeds and spores from equivalents of plants and fungi on the iron continent eventually blew over to the other continents the same way volcanic islands gain plants from their nearest continent.

Reproduction is where it gets a little confusing. In most species, everyone produces the same kind of cell and can mix that cell with anyone else of the same species. This is how all of the nitrogen breathing life reproduces. The main species has three versions of this cell, named after the shape of the DNA strands inside. They are C, Z, and O. CZ is average. CC means larger and more aggressive, ZZ means smaller and more friendly. O is neutral, and passed on less often than C or Z. OO produces a very rare hyper-intelligent individual. Great leaps of innovation and discovery are driven by the birth of a OO.
